Our Campaign 2018…

After ten years of hard work and the contributions of hundreds of local residents Lambeth Council has rejected our community led approach to developing Somerleyton Road, even though our proposal is financially viable and is ready to go!

Tell Lambeth what you think
With no real grounds, based on inaccurate advice from officers, the Council has rejected our proposal. It is clear they are no longer interested in making it work - they have not even considered our up to date financial assessment.

This is a kick in the teeth for the community from a council that thinks it knows best. We have written to all members of the Cabinet to tell them they are making a huge mistake. See our letter to the Cabinet members HERE

Join us on 7 March 2018 at our AGM, if you are a member (6.30pm), and at our Brixton Community Voices  Event  (starting 7.30pm). We’re meeting downstairs in the Department Store, 248 Ferndale Road, SW9 8FR.

Click HERE to send an e-mail to the Leader of The Council, Lib Peck, telling her that she and her Cabinet are heading towards making a huge mistake and should think again about our proposal for Somerleyton Road, so that we can get on with building new homes and community facilities for local people, which they can be in control of.
